Amazing little corner place for a quick convenient lunch. We came back twice it was so good. The best home made lasagna we have had on our trip. They speak perfect English so it's easy for tourists. Both traditional Ragu and their unique Pesto lasagna are both fresh, creamy and amazing! Try them both! A good selection of affordable wines by the glass too

This place is incredible value for filling, yummy sandwiches and other lunch options. I particularly enjoyed the Pitti on ciabatta and Gallo Nero on focaccia. Their tiramisu is also delicious and only 3.50 euros!My friends enjoyed their lasagnas, especially the pesto one. We have eaten lunch here twice this trip and will definitely be back again!

A hidden gem near Palazzo Pitti! This small sandwich and salad spot might not look like much from the outside, but it’s absolutely worth a visit. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. I tried the homemade lasagna, which was really delicious, a sandwich with italian charcuterie and tiramisu—everything was filling and tasty. Highly recommend this place for a casual meal. It’s a bit off the main tourist path, but it’s definitely worth seeking out.

Absolutely best food experience in Italy. The service was so good that I was a little shocked both a gentleman. They were very courteous. Explain the menu well made sure we got a seat and then even recommended the right things to order and to top it all off the food was absolutely amazing. We had leftovers that we lost along our day stroll, and that felt like a big loss because the food was so amazing. Trying really hard to go back there again to try some other things that we did not manage to taste. I would absolutely recommend it without a doubt, especially for its most reasonable pricing.

It was the best meal of my whole life! I have eaten slowly to feel the taste longer. Tomato sauce was extremely delicious and balance of ingredients was as just it should be. I thought to order also pesto lasagna but portion was large so I couldn’t. Price is also fair. Tiramisu was also delicious. Highly recommended.

Pitti Express is truly amazing in every way. The service whether from the owner or the chef is incredibly friendly and feels so local, like visiting someone’s home. The prices are unbeatable—we were three hungry guys who ordered 3 lasagna plates, 3 sandwiches, 3 sparkling waters, a bottle of local wine, and a dish of tiramisu to share, all for just 59. The portions are huge; we could barely finish!The food was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. The lasagna, made with the chef’s own house recipe, was delicious and authentically prepared. I don’t think I’ll ever love another lasagna as much! The sandwiches were equally amazing, especially their famous chicken sandwich, #14. Everything is homemade, even the chicken crust, and it was fantastic. We also tried the Inferno (#3) and #2 cold cut sandwiches, which were incredible.The tiramisu was exceptional, and the wine paired perfectly with the meal. To top it all off, the staff gave us complimentary pastries, which were just as delicious.I highly recommend Pitti Express—it’s a hidden gem, perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even just a drink. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Felt very comfortable and well taken care of eating here. Ordered lasagna, tiramisu, a couple shots of espresso, bottled water and wine for just under 20 euro. Seems like a place that invites regulars, which is no surprise, as the atmosphere and service is personal and friendly. Lovely people run this place, and I plan to come back for more bites and tiramisu :)
